MonggarCourt-GyalpoizhingLandCaseThe first hearing against Pelden Norgay, another member of the Gyalpoizhing land allotment committee, was held at the Monggar district court today. Pelden Norgay was serving as the district engineer then.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has accused Pelden Norgay of allotting land to individuals who did not meet the criteria set for plot eligibility. He is also accused of allotting land to his wife. ACC has charged him with criminal offence like the rest of the land allotment committee members.

Eighteen cases relating to Gyalpoizhing land case are under trial in Monggar  District Court as of now.
