Only one Bhutanese was awarded the Endeavour Award Scholarship, this year. The results of the Endeavour Award Scholarship were declared on December 17.

The results have left many Bhutanese applicants disappointed. They said they received an email stating the 2013 Endeavour Awards was highly competitive.

Last year, about 90 Bhutanese had received the scholarship.

The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s merit based scholarship program to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. The scholarships are provided to the citizens of Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and Americas.

The results of the scholarships are on their website.
