Bhutan shot up five positions in this year’s corruption perception index as compared to last year’s index.
Bhutan stood at 33rd position as the least corrupted countries among some 176 countries taking Bhutan on the top position among the SAARC countries.
Among, the Asia-pacific region, Bhutan ranked fifth.
Corruption perception index shows Afghanistan, North Korea and Somalia as the most corrupted countries
The perceived corruption was measured in public sector arena.
The index list was posted on Transparency International website.
