Poor chilli yield due to pod borer infestation in Punakha’s Chhubu Gewog

It is the peak chilli season for the farmers of Chhubu Gewog in Punakha. Time to mint some extra cash. However, they are unable to do so due to the poor yield caused by pest infestation from chilli pod borer. Farmers attribute this pest infestation to scanty rainfall. They have been facing the problem almost every season for a few years now.
