More than 1,600 Universities graduates and about 2,000 class 10 and 12 pass high school graduates are expected to attend this year’s National Job Fair. The Job Fair will begin this Friday at Nazhoen Pelri Complex in Thimphu.

At a press conference today, the labour minister, Dorji Wangdi, said the Job Fair will provide opportunity for training institutions and enterprise to promote their products and service.

The Job Fair will also provide opportunities for the employers to exhibit their current and future skill requirements, according to the minister.

“It is a part of the ongoing efforts to fulfill and achieve employment for the university graduates and facilitate employment for other job seekers.”

During last year’s Job Fair, more than a 1,000 registered job seekers got employed.

About 72 enterprises will take part in this year’s Job Fair which will be organised by Ministry of Labour and Human Resources.
