Some 34 women prisoners of Thimphu district jail received certificates for completing basic course of Non-Formal Education, today.
The certificates were awarded by Chief of Police Brigadier Kiphu Namgyel.
The Royal Bhutan Police introduced Non-Formal Education for the prisoners in 2010. More than 160 prisoners in Thimphu, Samdrup Jongkhar, Samtse and Gelephu have completed the course so far.
