The Prime Minister had expressed concerns over the delay in constructing motor-able road to every gewog centre within the 10th Plan period in Zhemgang.

Five of the eight gewogs, Trong, Ngangla, Phangkhar, Nangkor and Goshing are connected to their centres while three gewogs, Bjoka, Bardho and Shingkhar are still not connected to their centres.

To achieve the target, Lyonchhoen instructed the Department of Roads to take up the construction of Bardho farm road and urged the involved officials to speed up the construction of Shingkhar road.

Lyonchhoen Jigmi Y.Thinley was on a six-day visit to Zhemgang to assess the progress of development activities especially the road network in the gewogs.

He returned to Thimphu yesterday
