The Education Secretary, Sangay Zam, handed over 20 new buses to 20 different middle and higher secondary schools in 13 Dzongkhags today.
The government has allocated Nu. 30 million for the purchase of the buses. Three more buses are to be procured.
The Education Secretary said school buses will enable learning beyond classrooms, as field trips and excursions can be organised.
