The Zhemgang District Court, on Wednesday, sentenced Kelzang Dawa from Yangneer Gewog in Trashigang to 15 years in prison for statutory rape. The 28-year-old man was found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl. The convict was a school sports instructor. The convict confessed to the crime in the court. Zhemgang police arrested him in November, last year after the school authority reported the case to the police.
