At the Tashichhodzong this morning, the Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body appointed Lam Namgyel from Thimphu Ge-nyenkha as the new Lam of Boegar Drakar Goenpa in Punakha.
Lam Namgyel started his spiritual journey at the age of nine at Pungthim Dratshang. Guided by Drubwang Karma Jurmey, he received empowerment, transmissions, and instructions, dedicating six years to meditation.
Before the current appointment, Lam Namgyel served as the Lam of Jomolhari Temple.
