Tandin Wangchen wins gold medal at World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2023

Tandin Wangchen won a gold medal at the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2023 in South Korea today. He competed in the athletic physique 182 cm category.

Three Bhutanese men also participated in the 65-kg bodybuilding category, fitness physique and athletic physique 175 cm.

Kinley Penjor bagged fourth position in the fitness physique 170 cm category and Sonam Phuntsho came fifth in the bodybuilding 65-kg category. 48 countries from across the world participated in the championship which began on Monday.

Tandin Wangchen said that winning a gold medal during the World Championship came as the perfect end to his 15-year-long bodybuilding career.
