Two Bhutanese Para-athletes end their Asian Para Games journey

Her Royal Highness Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck, the President of the Bhutan Paralympic Committee attended the fourth Asian Para Games in China, yesterday.

Two Bhutanese Para-athletes have ended their Asian Para Games journey today.

Despite competitive performance, Sapuna Subba who represented Bhutan in badminton lost against China on Friday and to Indonesia today.

Similarly, Kinley Dem is ranked 10 out of 12 athletes in Para shooting. Only eight athletes were qualified for the next round.

Pema Rigsel who is representing Bhutan in the para recurve archery took part in the open qualification round today. He managed to make it to the next round scheduled for tomorrow.

The fourth athlete Chimi Dema will represent Bhutan in the shot put.

3,100 athletes from over 40 National Paralympic Committees are participating in the event. They are competing for more than 560 gold medal events in 22 different sports. Bhutan debuted in the Asian Para Games in 2018 in Indonesia after the Bhutan Paralympic Committee was established in 2017.
