Dorji Lopen presides over Samtse Moenlam Chhenmo

The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body is presiding over the five-day annual Moenlam Chhenmo in Samtse beginning today. Including the Lam Neten, about 200 monks from the Central Monastic Body, Samtse Rabdey, and other monastic institutions are taking part in the prayer ceremony.

About 700 devotees from Samtse and the nearby district attended the Moenlam Chhenmo today. This is the eleventh Moenlam Chhenmo held in the district. The prayer ceremony will conclude on Tuesday.
