PM meets Thai Ambassador-Designate to Bhutan

The Thailand’s Ambassador-Designate to Bhutan, Madurapochana Ittarong, called on the Prime Minister Jigmi Y.Thinley at Gyalyong Tshogkhang today.

Lyonchhoen told the Ambassador that he is happy to see the relations between the two countries grow closer and deeper.

They discussed several areas of cooperation between the two nations including close cooperation in agriculture sector, technical cooperation for human resource development and collaboration in the areas of arts and crafts.

Ambassador Ittarong said there will be an annual meeting between the two countries starting this year for more cooperation and support, and to discuss framework within which the relationship between the two nations can be deepened and diversified.

Madurapochana Ittarong arrived in the country on November 4 to present her credentials to His Majesty the King.
