His Majesty The King confers red scarf and grants promotion to RBA, RBP & RBG officers

His Majesty The King conferred red scarf to Karma Yonten and granted promotions to 17 Officers from the RBA, RBP, and RBG. His Majesty also granted dhar to the Gup of Nahi Gewog and appointed a new Zimpon Wogma.

Dasho Karma Yonten is the head of the Office of Performance Management at His Majesty’s Secretariat. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Druk Holding and Investments.

His Majesty The King, as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, granted promotions to 10 officers of the Royal Bhutan Army, 1 Officer of the Royal Body Guards, and 6 Officers of the Royal Bhutan Police. The Officers were promoted from the rank of Lt. Colonel to the rank of Colonel.

 

 

 

 

Kaka, who was serving as the Chief Administration Officer at His Majesty’s Secretariat, was appointed Zimpon Wongma (Deputy Chamberlain). Prior to his deputation to HMS, he was working as Deputy Chief Planning Officer at the Gross National Happiness Commission.

 

 

 

 

Kinley Gyeltshen, the newly elected Gup of Nahi Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang received dhar from His Majesty The King at the Tashichhodzong today.

Kinley Gyeltshen was elected Gup of Nahi Gewog in a by-election conducted on July 17 this year, to fill a post vacated by the resignation of the incumbent Gup. In recognition of the importance of local government for the welfare of the people, His Majesty The King personally grants dhar to Gups.
