More than 300 households in Dungtoe Gewog in Samtse have been electrified last Thursday. At the inauguration, the Education Minister, Thakur Singh Powdyel, briefed the gathering about the importance of electricity in the changing world.
The service is expected to fulfill government’s vision of creating ICT-enabled society in the community where teachers can explore from the internet.
The local government officials are also expected to provide better and timely services to the people.
At the function, Bhutan Power Corporation officials briefed the public about the safety measures.
