Sarpang Divisional Forest Office won International Ranger Award 2023

The Sarpang Divisional Forest Office has won the International Ranger Award, 2023. The award is in recognition of their unwavering and tireless effort in safeguarding protected areas and conserving wildlife and their habitats. The International Union for Conservation of Nature and the World Commission on Protected Areas present the award annually to improve rangers’ capabilities, raise awareness about the critical role they play in conservation efforts, and help share rangers’ unique stories and perspectives. The award was initiated in 2020. The prize money for the award ranges from USD 10,000 to 25,000.
