The Tsugla Lopen of the Central Monastic Body is presiding over a three-day Dechenzhingdrup at Kuenselphodrang in Thimphu. The ritual is held for the longevity of the people, and the nation’s wellbeing. It is the first-ever ritual organised by a religious group called Tharpai Lamzang consisting of around six thousand members from across the country. The group plans to make it an annual event.
