A man died on the spot when the Santro car he was travelling in fell into Riju River, a few kilometres away from Trashigang town. It was about 9 a.m. yesterday morning.
The victim was on his way to Trashigang from Bidung. Police say he might have fallen asleep while driving. The deceased is a Junior Engineer at the Trashigang Dzongkhag and is survived by a wife and a three-months-old child.
