The government is working on a major overhaul of income taxation. This is according to the Finance Minister who said works are nearing completion to draft a new bill for income taxation. The minister said this during the recent Meet the Press session. The Income Tax Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2001 which was enacted over two decades ago had undergone only a few minor changes after its introduction.
