
The country will be able to import sugar from 13 sugar millers in India, which would help reduce the price of sugar. This was informed by the foreign affairs and external trade minister, Dr Tandi Dorji, during the 50th meet the press session today. According to the minister, sugar millers in India are not willing to sell to Bhutan since the country’s market is small. Following which, the government held talks with the Government of India to aid Bhutanese retailers and industries import sugar.
