The 41st National Open Lawn Tennis Championship started in the capital today. The participants will compete in five different categories- men singles, women singles, senior singles, mixed lucky doubles, and under 14 categories.
The Assistant Coach, Yonten Gyeltshen, said the tournament is an annual event of the Federation, which has been continuing for past 41 years. He added the tournament will provide an opportunity for Bhutanese players to showcase their talents.
A total of 70 players are competing in the open championship this year. The tournament is being organized by Bhutan Tennis Federation.
