His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, the President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee graced the Olympic Day celebrations at Merak Primary School in Trashigang, today. His Royal Highness granted a Tokha to all the participants and the members of the community as well.
The BOC observes the Olympic Day every year to promote the values of the Olympic movement in communities. It is also to encourage the people of all ages and abilities to take part in sports. The committee takes the celebrations to different districts each year to fulfill the vision of taking sports to all youth in the country.
