The house owner of a two storied house at Langthel Gewog under Trongsa Dzongkhag was given five days time to demolish the house beginning yesterday. The owner had failed to abide by the notification issued by the dzongkhag to dismantle the house in June. The house was built on wetland which is against the rule.
The house was built in February this year. Even after three months extension, the house was not demolished.
The demolishing committee yesterday disconnected electricity supply.
The owner told our reporter, Surjaman Thapa, that the house is temporary. And he will again request for time extension of two more months.
