Haa nominates two aspiring candidates for NC elections

Poll day for the National Council Elections is set for April 20 and gewogs across the country are nominating their candidates. In Haa, two aspiring candidates will contest for a National Council seat. The Dhamngoi Zomdu in the district ended on Wednesday.

The people of Samar Gewog nominated 45-year-old Dago Tsheringla. He got 244 yes and 17 no votes. He is from Balamna village.

And Ugyen Namgay, the incumbent National Council Member is the nominee from Sangbay Gewog. The 40-year-old is from Mochhu village. He secured 104 yes and six no votes.

More than 780 voters attended the Dhamngoi Zomdu in the two gewogs.

The four Gewogs, Bji, Gakiling, Katsho, and Uesu did not have any aspiring candidates.
