The Annual Thimphu Tshechu began today. Thousands of people dressed in rich traditional attire thronged Tendrelthang at Tashichhodzong. People from Thimphu and neighbouring areas, including tourists gathered for the festivities.
Thimphu Tshechu, one of the biggest festivals in the county, was initiated by Fourth Desi Gyelse Tenzin Rabgey in 1867
