Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa announces Bongo-Chapcha Constituency’s Candidate

Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa has introduced its candidate from the Bongo-Chapcha constituency in Chhukha. With this, the party now has revealed 19 candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Dr Purna Bahadur Chettri (PhD) from Yagang village of Darla Gewog in Chhukha is the party’s candidate for the Bongo-Chapcha constituency.

The 51-year-old has a Master’s Degree in Mountain Forestry and a PhD in Silviculture from Austria.

Having started his career as a Research Officer for the Renewable Natural Resources Research and Development Centre in Bumthang in 1999, Purna has a work experience of more than 18 years in various government agencies.

He last served as the Senior Research Fellow for the Bhutan Ecological Society.

Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa is the country’s fifth registered political party.
