HH the Je Khenpo confers Dhar to newly appointed Lam Netens, principals & Khenpo

His Holiness the Je Khenpo has conferred Dhar to the newly appointed Lam Netens, principals and khenpo of various dratshangs in the country. The dhar ceremony was held at Punakha Dzong today.

Fifty-one-year-old, Damcho Gyeltshen from Saephu Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang has been appointed the new Lam Neten of Samtse Dratshang. Prior to his current appointment, he had served as the Head Lam of the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu.

Kunzang Tobgay, 45, from Athang Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang is the new Lam Neten of Lhuentse Dratshang. Before assuming the new post, he was the Principal of Pasakha Ugyen Dorji Chhokhorling Goenzin Dratshang in Chhukha District.

The new Khenpo of Takchhu Goenzin Dratshang in Haa is 48-year-old Tshokey Dorji. He is from Uesu Gewog in Haa. He had served as a lecturer at Tango Buddhist University and as a professor at The Royal Thimphu College.

36-year-old, Yoenten Gyeltshen from Dangchhu Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang has been appointed the new Principal of the gewog’s Dendupchholing Dorling Goenzin Dratshang. Prior to his present appointment, he was a lecturer at the same dratshang.

Rada Dorji, 33, from Darkar Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang is the new Principal of Nyinzergang Goenzin Dratshang there.

Before that, he was teaching at Pasakha Ugyen Dorji Chhoekhorling and Serlung Pekar Chhoeling Goenzin Dratshang.
