Two Bhutanese Karate athletes have brought home three bronze medals from the South Asian Karate Championship, which was recently held in Sri Lanka. Tshering Phuntsho secured bronze in the Kumite senior category after losing to Pakistan in the semi-finals. Pema Dorji secured bronze in both the senior Kumite and the senior Kata categories. The championship saw around 200 participants from Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
