An accountant in Zhemgang Dzongkhag Administration was suspended earlier this year after he was found to have allegedly embezzled Nu 1.5 M of government revenue. The annual auditing in January revealed that the accountant has not deposited the tax collected for the last three years from 2019-2021.
The case is with the Anti-Corruption Commission.
