Possibility of relocating Traditional Medicine Services to JDWNRH- Health Minister

To provide comprehensive medical services, the health ministry is looking into the possibility of relocating the Department of Traditional Medicine Services to the National Referral Hospital’s premise. The minister was responding to Chhumig Ura MP Karma Wangchuk during the question hour session in the National Assembly today.

“The hospital will just be relocated; the services will remain the same. The relocation will benefit the people rather than the government. At Kawajangsa, there is a parking space issue. We will be able to provide services collectively if both are located nearby. Every year, about 600,000 individuals visit JDWNRH, whereas less than 100,000 people visit the Department of Traditional Medicine Services,” said Health Minister Dechen Wangmo.
