The first-ever International Style Compound Archery Tournament, the Bhutan Grand Prix, began today in Thimphu. His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck graced the opening of the tournament.
A total of 22 participants including a lone woman archer and a 14-year-old are competing. The ranking rounds were played today and the elimination rounds will be held tomorrow. The finals will be played on Sunday. The top four participants will also get an opportunity to represent Bhutan at the 19th Asian Games that will be held in China next year.
