The students and teachers of Changmey Primary School in Trashigang, who tested positive for Influenza A, have now been confirmed as H1N1. It was confirmed by the Public Health laboratory today. Out of 11 samples, ten tested positive for H1N1.
The Public Health Officials says, the situation is however under control and no new cases have been reported so far. “Those infected are recovering well,” said the officials.
The Dzongkhag Health Sector meanwhile has issued a notification advising people not to panic. Health officials are advising the public to limit social gathering and take precautionary measure like washing hands. People are advised to visit the nearest health centers, if they suffer from flu like symptoms.
