The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body conferred dhar to appoint seven Lams and Lopons in various religious centres across the country, at the Punakha Dzong today.

Lam Kaka from Chapcha is appointed as the Lamdren Getshog Lopen of Punakha

Tshewang Gyelpo from Paro is the new Yar-Zhug Umzse of Zhung Dratshang in Punakha.

Sonam Tshering from Paro is the new Lam of Nepa Goenpa in Shengana in Punakha.

Martang Lungchu Goenpa’s new Lam in Wangdue Phodrang is Dorji Gyeltshen from Thimphu.

Namgay from Punakha is the new Zhu-Daag-Chhungsho of Pung-Thim Dratshang in Zhabtog Detshen.

Dorji Tshering from Haa is the new Kangjup of Wangditse Goenpa in Thimphu.

The new Kudrung for Zhabtog Detshen in Pung-Thim Dratshang is Wangchuk from Chhukha.
