Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 will not have to stay in quarantine while travelling from high-risk to low-risk areas. According to the National COVID-19 Task Force, the recovered individuals can travel as soon as they are discharged from the isolation facilities until up to six months.
And they will not even be tested for COVID-19 until six months from the day they are discharged except for those with acute COVID-like symptoms. According to the Task Force, this is because recovered individuals are proven to test positive for COVID up to three months but do not pose a significant risk of transmission to others.
However, this exemption is considered for the current Omicron variant and will be valid for individuals who were infected and recovered from the disease between January 1 and June this year.
