Finding talented people is just a click away now. The newly launched platform, ‘Talent Himalaya’ will help you with this. It is the country’s first talent management platform, an initiative of Samuh Mediatech.  The portal can be accessed at www.talenthimalaya.com.

There are dozens of actors, models, singers, musicians, writers, directors, and editors listed on the platform.

One can click on their pictures, know more about them and connect to them easily.

“I feel that it is easy if you know someone in the film industry. A lot of people are uncomfortable and not very confident to come out. A lot of youth and upcoming new artists do not have the opportunity so this portal is a very good platform for them,” said Pema Yogini Yuphel, an actor.

“In our country, it is very difficult for producers and filmmakers to find even a supporting cast. With this platform, it will be easy for us to find relevant people,” added Karma Jerry, a film director.

The Samuh Mediatech said it is an opportunity for new talents to join the creative industry.

“New talents who are waiting to come to the creative industry now do not have to know someone in the industry. Secondly, for producers, it opens up a pool of talents,” said Nyema Zam, the CEO of Samuh Mediatech.

People will have to pay a minimum of Nu 7,000 to get listed but not without talents. The initiative plans to go beyond the boundaries. And with digital platforms taking over everything, it may be a small beginning to a big thing for local talents.
