Bhutan’s under-19 women’s team loses to Bangladesh

The under-19 women’s national football team lost to the defending champion’s Bangladesh in the second match of the SAFF under-19 women’s championship today. The team lost by six goals to nil, with three goals conceded in each half.

Bhutan won the first match of the tournament against Sri Lanka on Saturday. The team won with a score of five goals including a brace from Pema Yangzom.

The Bhutanese team will play against team India on Wednesday.

The fourth and final group match for Bhutan will be against team Nepal on Friday.

The second edition of the SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) under-19 women’s championship is currently underway in Bangladesh. The national teams of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka are taking part in the tournament. The final will be played on the December 22, this month.
