For the first time, herders in Haa will be able to cast their votes without having to go to the polling stations. Officials will be walking for about three days to 16 of them high up in the mountains.

Some sixteen hundred people have registered for the paper ballot facilitation booth including more than two hundred elders and people with disabilities. For a successful local government election, Haa also gave a refresher course to officials on duty recently.

More than a hundred candidates are contesting for the post of Gup, Mangmi, Tshogpa and Thromde Ngotshab in Haa.
