Phuentsholing Police arrested a 22-year-old man from Wangdue in connection with illegal transaction of controlled substances on Saturday evening.
After a tip off, police raided the hotel in Phuentsholing where the suspect was staying. He was caught with a bag of capsules worth about Nu.8,000.
As per the statement of the suspect, he bought the substances in Hashimara, an Indian town about 18 kilometres from Phuentsholing. The suspect also said the substances were for self consumption.
