International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities today, two toilets, a footpath, and a ramp for people with disabilities were inaugurated at the Changlimithang stadium. The facility is expected to promote participation for people with disabilities especially during national events. The facility worth Nu 2.5 M is funded by the Helvatas Bhutan. International Day of persons with disabilities is a global observance celebrated every year on  December 3 to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of the society.
