Immigration Rules and Regulations launched

The Immigration Rules and Regulations of Bhutan 2012, was officially launched today.

It is expected to maintain right balance between facilitating professional immigration services to complement economic growth and strengthening security interest of the nation.

During the launch, the Home Minister, Minjur Dorji, said the new rules and regulations will help in promoting transparency in the system.

Lyonpo also added it would provide strong legal tools for immigration officials while rendering routine immigration services to the public.

The Immigration Rules and Regulations have been formulated and adopted by the ministry in compliance with the provisions of the Immigration Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan, 2007.
