The Office of the Attorney General forwards a drug case involving four suspects to Wangdue Phodrang District Court today. The men were found collecting marijuana in Nisho Gewog last month. Police seized 175 grams of marijuana from them.

According to the Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Substance Abuse Act, any individual in possession of less than or equal to seven grams of cannabis and its derivatives shall be guilty of the offence of illegal possession. And it is an offence of illicit trafficking if it is more than seven grams. They could get a prison term of five to nine years.
