Students from Japan on exchange programme

Seven students from Handa city, Japan arrived in the capital for the Handa- Bhutan exchange programme. The main objective of the exchange programme is to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and promote exchange of culture and traditions.

The students were received by their host friends from Changkhakha Middle Secondary School and Pelkhyil Higher Secondary School. The parents of the host students also joined in receiving the guests.

During the six-day long stay in the capital, the students from Handa will experience six nights home stay with the host Bhutanese families.  The students will also visit a school, go for field trip to Punakha and do local sightseeing.

The programme is organised by the scouts and culture education division, department of youth and sports in collaboration with the Handa- Bhutan exchange programme.
