A temporary hut near the Dechenzam in Chhubachhu is on the verge of collapsing down the cliff following a landslide in the area earlier today at around 1 am. The family, working as a daily wager under the Thimphu Thromde, is asked to relocate to the house of their relatives.

There are around 18 households in the area today.

According to the residents, they have asked the Thromde to relocate them to a safer place last year since the present place is prone to landslides. They said the Thromde has agreed to relocate them within two to three months, however, it did not happen. The Thromde office says they are still working on it.

They have been living there for more than three decades.
