The National Statistical Bureau will come up with a comprehensive report on the living standard of Bhutanese people by the end of this year.
At present the National statistical bureau is carrying out a survey across the country. Once the survey is complete, NSB will compile a report that will serve as a basic data source in estimation of poverty rate in the country.
Other than this, the survey is expected to provide a clear picture on how the government has been progressing in terms of achieving Millennium Development Goals.
This is the third survey NSB is conducting on the living standard of people in Bhutan. The first survey was done in 2003.
