Another batch of De-Suung passes out

Passing out parade for the fourth batch of De-Suung training programme was held at Tencholing military training center in Wangduephodrang today. Information and communications Minister, Nandalal Rai attended the concluding ceremony.

One hundred and thirteen volunteers took part in the fourth batch of training programme. It is a value based personal development programme, encouraging citizenry to be active in the greater role of nation building.

Completing the five weeks training, De-suups took an oath reaffirming their assurance to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum with full loyalty and dedication at any call of the nation.

Lyonpo Nandalal Rai congratulated the De-suups and said the values they cultivate and nurture through this training will serve them and the nation in so many inspiring ways in the years ahead.

In the past one month long training, the De-suups were trained on skills that will be useful during disaster, first hand training on search and rescue operations, preservation and conservation of cultural heritage and traditions, conservation of environment among others.
