A 43-year-old man is feared dead after he was washed away by Thewarchu in Gelephu last night. He was returning home along with his friend, after some shopping, when the incident occurred. It was 9 pm. His friend managed to swim across.

Both of them work at the construction site near Shershong Lhakhang. The man is from Barshong village under Sershong Gewog in Gelephu. The villagers are still looking for the body. He is survived by four children and wife.
