For the first time, Bhutan won bronze medal in the Table Tennis at the South Asian Junior Championship, under 15 categories, which was held in Meghalaya, India last month.
The Bhutanese team defeated team Nepal in the quarter finals securing the third place. As an incentive from Bhutan Olympic Committee, the two players, Bishal Gurung and Sumit Subba, received Nu.10,000 each.
Seven SAARC countries participated in the Championship.
