The 17th National Table Tennis Championship started yesterday. More than 150 players, mostly students, are participating in the tournament.

The National Coach, Shyam Chettri, said that the championship is being organised to identify potential players for the national team. He said selected players will undergo intensive training and will be groomed for the international tournaments.

The championship is being organized by the Bhutan Table Tennis Federation, and is funded by the Bhutan Olympic Committee. The finals will be played this Sunday
