The Ambassador of India to Bhutan, Ruchira Kamboj handed over six units of portable digital x-ray machines to Foreign Minister Dr Tandi Dorji today. The machines will be used for conducting critical health services in districts across the country.

India gifted one such machine to Bhutan last year as well. According to a press release, the gift is in keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance that India would stand by Bhutan in fighting the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the 13th medical consignment from the government of India to Bhutan.
